The Role
As Team Leader, you'll provide day-to-day guidance to the care team while ensuring residents receive the highest standard of personalised dementia care.
You'll work closely with senior management to maintain excellent standards, promote best practice and ensure every resident enjoys a safe, comfortable and fulfilling home environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the delivery of high-quality care throughout each shift.
- Supporting, mentoring and motivating Care Assistants.
- Promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing for every resident.
- Completing care documentation accurately and effectively.
- Administering medication in accordance with company policy where required.
- Ensuring care practices remain compliant with CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Liaising professionally with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
- Helping to create a positive, supportive culture where colleagues feel valued and residents receive exceptional care.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong leadership skills with genuine compassion.
You'll be someone who enjoys supporting others, remains calm under pressure and takes pride in maintaining excellent standards of care.
Essential Requirements
✔ Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or Care Supervisor
✔ Level 3 Diploma (NVQ/QCF) in Health & Social Care, or working towards it
✔ Medication administration experience
✔ Sound understanding of dementia care and person-centred practice
✔ Knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding responsibilities
✔ Excellent communication and organisational skills
✔ Right to work in the UK
