We are looking for an experienced CAD / Nesting Technician to join our clients manufacturing team.
You will be responsible for producing accurate CAD drawings and efficient nesting layouts to support CNC cutting and production.
Pay Rate: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-1pm
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and modify 2D CAD drawings and production files.
- Create efficient nesting layouts to maximise material usage and minimise waste.
- Prepare CNC-ready files for laser, plasma, router or other cutting machinery.
- Check drawings, dimensions, materials and quantities for accuracy.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain drawing revisions and production documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve material efficiency and production processes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in CAD, nesting or a manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with CAD/CAM and nesting software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
