Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised Experience GP Receptionist to join our medical practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a friendly healthcare environment, supporting both patients and medical staff with administrative duties. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Manage appointment scheduling using practice management software and maintain accurate patient records
- Answer incoming calls promptly, providing clear information and directing queries appropriately
- Handle data entry tasks efficiently, including updating patient information and processing forms
- Utilise Microsoft Word & Office, for administrative tasks as required
- Manage correspondence via email and other digital platforms, ensuring timely responses
- Maintain organisation of the reception area to uphold a clean and professional appearance
- Assist with billing procedures and processing payments accurately
- Support the medical team with administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations
Skills
- Must have SystmOne Experience
- Proven office experience with strong organisational skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel
- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Strong typing skills for efficient data entry and documentation
- Previous clerical or administrative experience in a GP/ Hospital setting is desirable
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks undertaken
- Good organisational skills to manage appointments and patient records efficiently
