PSV Service Engineer
Pay: £14.31 Per Hour
Location: Methil, Leven
Shift: Monday to Friday (Days)
Hours: 7:30AM to 4PM
We're recruiting for a Service Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle workshop in Methill, Leven. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic mechanical knowledge who wants to gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced technicians.
This role would particularly suit someone who has studied vehicle maintenance or gained practical workshop experience but hasn't completed a full apprenticeship. Full training and mentoring will be provided, with genuine opportunities to progress into a fully qualified Technician role.
The Role
Working as part of a busy engineering team, you'll support the maintenance of a large commercial vehicle fleet by carrying out routine servicing tasks and assisting experienced technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out basic planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Change engine oil and replace filters.
- Clean vehicle components ready for inspection and repair.
- Assist qualified technicians with servicing and maintenance work.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
- Learn industry best practices while developing your technical skills.
As your experience grows, you'll receive ongoing training and have the opportunity to progress into a Technician position.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine interest in vehicle maintenance or engineering.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or previous workshop experience.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good practical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- A vehicle maintenance qualification or previous workshop experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am – 4:00pm
- No regular weekend working
