Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire
Salary: £24,784 – £29,350 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Sleep-in Rate: £50 per sleep-in

Beacon Childcare is looking for caring, resilient, and dedicated Residential Care Workers to join our friendly team at our Children's Residential Home in Rugeley.
Our home supports looked-after children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, providing them with a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where they can grow, develop, and thrive.
As a Residential Care Worker, you will become a positive role model, helping young people overcome challenges, celebrate achievements, and develop the confidence and life skills they need for the future.
Your Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality care and support to children and young people.
- Building positive and trusting relationships.
- Supporting young people with daily routines, education, appointments, and activities.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Promoting safeguarding and ensuring the welfare of every child remains the highest priority.
- Working as part of a supportive team to provide consistent, child-centred care.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are compassionate, motivated, and committed to making a positive difference.
Essential requirements include:
- A Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards the qualification.
- Experience working with children and young people is desirable, particularly within a residential care setting.
- A positive, resilient, and flexible approach to supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A full UK driving licence (automatic or manual) held for at least 12 months, as driving the company vehicle forms part of the role.
- Successful applicants must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
