Job Advert
London Gatwick · £17.39/hour · 37.5 hours/week + benefits
Every meal we produce boards a plane carrying a promise: safe, compliant, and exactly to airline specification. As Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll be the person who upholds that standard and drives a culture of quality across every department and customer relationship.
The role
You'll test products from our suppliers and internal Hot Kitchen, check weights against airline specifications, and support customer audits through meal tasting and evaluation. When issues arise, you'll lead root cause analysis and liaise directly with suppliers on corrective action. You'll own the calibration programme for temperature and weighing devices, run monthly ATP and gateperform checks, and keep food safety documentation accurate and up to date.
Alongside this, you'll deliver on-the-job training for critical control activities, ensure monthly menu changes launch smoothly on the floor, and work closely with the Compliance Manager to prevent food safety events before they occur.
What you'll bring
You've done quality control before ideally in an airline or high-volume food environment — and you know how to manage, motivate and develop a team. You stay sharp under pressure, juggle competing deadlines without dropping any, and you're happy to put in extra hours when the operation needs it. You negotiate well, work easily across departments, and you're comfortable with MS Office and IT systems.
We'll want to see Level 3 HACCP and Level 3 Food Safety (held or committed to complete). Level 3 Workplace Health & Safety or NEBOSH certification is preferred.
