Abbeygate Garages Ltd is a well-established, family-run motor dealership with an outstanding reputation for customer service and vehicle preparation. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Vehicle Valeter / Preparation Operative to join our professional team.
We take pride in presenting every vehicle to the highest possible standard, and this role is essential in ensuring every customer receives their new vehicle looking exceptional.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Washing, polishing and detailing new and used vehicles.
- Preparing vehicles for customer handovers.
- Cleaning vehicle interiors to a showroom standard.
- Applying protective treatments where required.
- Photographing and presenting vehicles for sale.
- Maintaining forecourt vehicle presentation.
- Ensuring preparation areas are kept clean, tidy and safe.
- Assisting with the movement of vehicles around the dealership.
- Supporting the sales and service departments during busy periods.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
- Take genuine pride in producing high-quality work.
- Have a keen eye for detail.
- Be reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Hold a full UK driving licence (essential).
- Previous valeting or vehicle experience is essential
