Complex SEN Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Darlington
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Empowering Learning is currently working with a number of SEN schools across the Darlington area and is looking for dedicated and compassionate staff to support children with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The ideal candidate
We are looking for candidates who:

Have previous experience working with children with complex SEN needs, ideally within a SEN school or specialist setting.

Are compassionate, patient, resilient and dedicated.

Are reliable and have excellent timekeeping and attendance.

Understand the importance of consistency and routine when supporting children with complex needs.

Are confident supporting children with personal care.

Can build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people.

Are able to remain calm and professional when faced with challenging situations.

Are committed to working as part of a supportive school team.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:

Be available to work full-time, 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.

Have previous experience supporting children with complex SEN needs.

Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for and purchase a new Enhanced DBS.

Be able to provide professional references covering the last 2 years.

Be willing and able to support children with personal care.

Demonstrate excellent reliability, punctuality and commitment.
