As we continue to expand, we are looking for a driven and organised Production Scheduler to join our Operations Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in coordinating production activities, maximising efficiencies, and ensuring we continue to deliver the outstanding service our customers expect.
Main Duties
As a Production Scheduler, you will ensure seamless operations by linking in with all departments, planning and maximising our output and efficiencies. You will be required to ensure customer orders are achieved on time and stock levels maintained so that we can continue to deliver a first-class service to the industry.
The Production Scheduler will be experienced ideally in steel slit coil to sheet processing through our slitting and decoiling lines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Optimising schedules and efficiencies to maximise output
- Tracking and reporting production statistics and data
- Coordinating the production process from start to finish
- Managing and escalating production concerns or improvements
- Managing floor stock levels
- Communicating with multiple departments including purchasing, goods in, subcontractors, operators, commercial teams and the wider operations team
About You
- Experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, or operations coordination
- Experience within steel processing and slitting operations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with different departments to achieve results
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
Role Overview
- Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 3:00pm Friday
- Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience
