Trainee or Experienced Parts Advisor role in a commercial HGV parts department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a career in the commercial vehicle industry. No previous HGV parts experience is required but experience is an advantage . We are looking for someone who is reliable , organised , enthusiastic and keen to learn.
Working as part of our workshop team, you will learn all aspects of parts identification, ordering and stock control, while supporting our technicians and keeping vehicles moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, checking and putting away deliveries
- Maintaining accurate stock levels and records
- Issuing parts to workshop technicians
- Helping to keep the parts department clean, organised and efficient
- Developing a good understanding of HGV components and systems
Role development
- Assisting with identifying and sourcing HGV and commercial vehicle parts
- Learning how to use parts catalogues and online parts systems
- Ordering parts from manufacturers and suppliers
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and availability
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in HGVs, trucks or the automotive industry
- Is comfortable using computers and willing to learn new systems
- Is keen to learn and develop a career in vehicle parts
- Has good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Is confident communicating with colleagues, suppliers and customers
- Is reliable, punctual and has a positive attitude
Previous experience in a parts department or motor trade is an advantage but is not essential. We are more interested in the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
Hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5:00pm
Salary of £28,000 per annum .
22 Days holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays
