Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Person to join our team in a beautiful village environment. This role involves delivering excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right applicant.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently
- Ensure all drinks are served safely following food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glasses and cleaning surfaces
- Manage cash and card transactions accurately using the till system
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Monitor customer behaviour to promote responsible drinking and uphold safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding service during busy periods
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently, including food safety protocols
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good understanding of basic maths for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Personal presentation that reflects professionalism and hospitality standards
