We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic A level Maths Tutor to support students in developing their mathematical skills in Newbury. Starting
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong understanding of mathematics and feel comfortable to teach in at A level, with experience working with children or students requiring specialised educational support.

We are finalising the location in Newbury with a permenant location in the centre of the town
Duties
- Deliver personalised Maths tutoring sessions tailored to students’ individual needs and learning styles
- Prepare engaging lesson plans and educational materials to facilitate effective learning
- Assess students’ progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Support students in understanding complex mathematical concepts through clear explanations and practical examples
- Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere that boosts student confidence and motivation
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, or special education staff to ensure comprehensive support for learners
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and areas for improvement
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics at various levels
- Ability to work effectively with children and young learners, including those requiring special education support
- Strong communication skills to explain concepts clearly and engage students actively
- Patience, adaptability, and the ability to motivate students of diverse abilities
- Organised approach to lesson planning and record keeping
- Knowledge of educational best practices and current curriculum standards is desirable
