Brockworth House Nursing Home is located in a peaceful area of Gloucester, overlooking Coopers Hill and close to the scenic Witcombe Reservoirs. The home provides high-quality nursing and dementia care for up to 52 residents. Set within beautiful grounds, Brockworth House offers a warm, family-like environment where residents can feel safe, valued, and supported. Our dedicated team focuses on delivering exceptional standards of personalised care, ensuring residents and their families feel respected and truly at home.
The Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Team Leader (Care) to support residents and lead care staff within our clinical care home. This is a hands-on role, combining direct care with shift leadership to ensure high standards of person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise care staff on shift and act as senior point of contact.
- Deliver and oversee care in line with individual care plans.
- Promote residents' dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
- Assist with clinical tasks and medication administration in line with MAR charts and protocols.
- Monitor residents' physical and emotional wellbeing and escalate concerns.
- Complete clear handovers and maintain accurate care documentation.
- Ensure care delivery meets safeguarding, infection control, and CQC requirements.
- Support new starters and promote Ashberry values of Compassion, Integrity, and Loyalty.
About You:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) preferred.
- Experience in a care setting, ideally as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader.
- Confident, calm, and supportive leadership style.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional.
