We currently have a vacancy for a Breakfast Chef, hours of work would be 5.30am - 11am (Mon to Fri) or 6.30am - 12 noon (Sat & Sun), 5 over 7 days. Live in accommodation may be available for this role.
The Breakfast Chef will take control and ownership for the smooth running and management of the breakfast operation by preparing and presenting food ensuring high standards are met at all times while maintaining hygiene practices.
With previous experience of food preparation and food hygiene qualifications you'll handle stock and cut down on wastage. Enthusiastic, committed and organised you'll be responsible for maintaining the high standard and the delivery of the breakfast menu spec.
General Scope and Purpose
To be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.
Responsibilities
- Cooking breakfast items to the 'brand' standards set.
- Replenish all breakfast items on the buffet unit until service is finished.
- Liaison with Duty Manager and Breakfast Supervisor to maintain a high standard.
- Checking and maintaining cleanliness of the Kitchen.
- To help in the general morale of the Kitchen staff.
- To ensure all food items are checked, labelled and stored correctly.
- To adhere to Health & Safety, COSHH and Food Hygiene Regulations to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- To complete the relevant monitoring documentation including food, fridge and temperature checks / monitoring.
- To check in deliveries and complete delivery checklists in the absence of senior staff.
- To be fully competent with in-house Food Safety Guide.
