Duties
- Deliver personalized care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Supervise and mentor junior healthcare assistants, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Implement and review individual care plans in accordance with residents’ needs and preferences
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery
- Support the administration of medication and monitor residents’ health status in line with protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for care records and incident reports
- Lead by example in promoting dignity, respect, and independence among residents
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a care home or senior care environment with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with residents, families, and colleagues
- Valid driving license preferred for supporting residents’ outings or appointments
- Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety regulations
- IT proficiency for maintaining electronic records and documentation
- Supervising experience demonstrating ability to oversee daily operations within a care setting
