About the Role
Community Development Chesterfield (CDC) is recruiting two Youth Outreach & Community Engagement Workers to deliver detached youth outreach and support our weekly youth provision. You will engage with children and young people in the community, build trusted relationships, encourage attendance at our youth sessions and help provide a safe, welcoming environment where young people can take part in activities, receive support and enjoy a freshly prepared hot meal.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver detached youth outreach in the Newbold community.
· Build positive relationships with children and young people.
· Encourage attendance at CDC's weekly youth provision.
· Support delivery of activities and the weekly hot meal.
· Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and inclusion.
· Maintain registers and session records.
· Report safeguarding concerns in line with CDC procedures.
· Attend supervision, meetings and training.
Essential Criteria
· Minimum Level 2 Youth Work qualification (or recognised equivalent).
· Experience working with children and young people.
· Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
· Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Pay: £13.45 per hour
