Looking for a permanent Class 2 driving job with guaranteed 45-hour weeks, no nights out and paid overtime?
We're recruiting a Class 2 (Category C) HIAB Driver to join the team at Myers Building & Timber Supplies, Batley. Whether you're an experienced HIAB operator or a Class 2 driver looking to gain your HIAB experience, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll be driving one of our modern 26-tonne remote-control HIAB vehicles, delivering building materials to trade and domestic customers across the local area.
What you'll get
- Competitive hourly pay of £16.10 for Rate 1
- Typical Hours 6.30am/7am to 4.30pm/5pm Monday to Friday, plus some Saturday Mornings – No Nights or Evening Work
- Overtime paid after 45 hours and Saturdays at £21.41

What you'll be doing
- Safely driving and operating a modern 26T remote-control HIAB vehicle
- Delivering building materials, timber and associated products across the local area
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and professionally
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
- Completing vehicle checks and maintaining high safety standards
- Working closely with the yard and branch team to ensure deliveries run smoothly
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- Reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude
- Physically fit, as this role involves manual handling of building materials
Desirable:
- HIAB qualification and experience
Don't have HIAB experience?
That's not a problem. If you're the right Class 2 driver with the right attitude, we'll provide the training you need.
