Deputy Nursery Room Leader

Hours: Full Time
Key Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
- Previous experience as a Deputy Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or an experienced Early Years Educator ready to take the next step
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Strong organisational, communication and team support skills
- Positive, proactive approach with a genuine passion for early years education
- Ability to support and motivate colleagues while maintaining high standards of care and learning
About the Role
Blossom Barn Nursery is opening a brand-new, purpose-built setting in Great Chesterford, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Room Leader to help shape this exciting new environment from day one.
Working alongside the Room Leader, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the room, help inspire the team, and create a nurturing, engaging environment where children can thrive.
You Will:
- Support the Room Leader in delivering outstanding care and education
- Help plan and implement engaging, child-led learning experiences in line with the EYFS
- Create a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment for children
- Act as a role model for best practice within the room
- Support, mentor and encourage team members
- Maintain high safeguarding, welfare and health & safety standards
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Step into the Room Leader role when required
You’ll work closely with the Room Leader, Nursery Manager and wider leadership team to establish high standards and a positive team culture from the outset.
