Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in our home care service. The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensure the well-being of clients, and work collaboratively with healthcare teams to deliver personalised care plans. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support clients in adhering to their individual care plans and health routines
- Monitor and record clients' conditions, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a respectful and caring environment
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Support clients with light household tasks and daily activities in both care home and home care settings
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements
- Previous experience in a domiciliary care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Valid UK driving licence is preferred for this role as it involves home visits
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients of all ages and backgrounds, especially older adults
- Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism at all times
