Working closely with the Service Leader and the Support Worker team, you will be responsible for supporting 3 Gentlemen to live independently, all Gentlemen are in their middle 60’s. One Gentleman is recovering after a life changing stroke, one Gentleman has Korsakoff’s Dementia and has full capacity to live how he chooses and one Gentleman who requires full support to be able to live his life as he chooses and is non- verbal.
All Gentlemen have varying different support needs from full support to minimum but all requiring support with mobility.
What is important to us?
Being treated as individuals is extremely important for each gentleman and being able to make their own decisions even though they have deteriorating health and range of different learning disabilities.
2 Gentlemen make their own decisions day to day how they wish to spend their day, where they wish to go out to and with whom and 3rd Gentleman prefers quiet venues as he does not like too much noise and is a people watcher.
Interests range from going out for a walk, visit to pub with family, internet browsing and going out for a meal and drink, sport.
Gentlemen enjoy going for a walk weather depending and accessing venues by home vehicle.
Full of fun, great cheeky sense of humour, like to be as independent as possible, treated as individuals in home do not like to be grouped together or go out together, prefer to be individuals and live day to day privately.
