This is a fantastic opportunity for a Assistant Restaurant and Bar Manager to join a luxury Aberdeenshire hotel known for warm Scottish hospitality, locally sourced food, premium drinks and memorable guest experiences. The property offers luxury bedrooms, an award winning food offering, contemporary dining domes, an historic Bar with an impressive whisky collection, a highly regarded golf course and a range of private event spaces.
Working closely with the Assistant Restaurant and Bar Manager, you will support the day to day running of all Food and Beverage areas, including the restaurant, bar, outdoor dining domes and smaller private event spaces. This is a hands on, guest facing role where service standards, team training, sales, presentation and guest satisfaction are all key.
The role would suit someone with strong Food and Beverage experience, ideally at shift leader or supervisory level, who enjoys leading from the floor, developing a team and creating polished guest experiences. You will need to bring confidence, organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to support busy services, briefings, stock control, team performance and guest feedback.

Assistant Restaurant and Bar Manager Ideal Profile:

Previous experience in Food and Beverage, ideally at shift leader or supervisory level

Confident supporting restaurant, bar, private dining or event service in a quality hospitality setting

Strong guest facing skills with a warm, professional and helpful approach

Able to lead, train and motivate Food and Beverage Assistants and Bartenders

Good understanding of smooth shift management, service flow and team communication

Commercially aware, with an understanding of sales, stock control, wage costs and service standards

Organised and confident with rotas, briefings, feedback, reports and basic IT systems
Assistant Restaurant and Bar Manager Responsibilities:

Support the Restaurant and Bar Manager with the smooth running of all Food and Beverage areas

Lead shifts across the restaurant, bar, outdoor dining domes and private event spaces

Welcome guests warmly, support service delivery and ensure expectations are consistently exceeded

Train and develop team members through practical, on the job coaching and clear service standards

Maintain excellent standards across cleanliness, presentation, product knowledge and guest care

Support pre service briefings, post service communication, rotas, meetings and team performance reviews

Assist with stock control, liquor security, wage costs, audits, procedures and revenue driven incentives

Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, recording and resolving issues in line with procedures

Work closely with other departments during busy periods to ensure strong communication and smooth service

Help create a positive team culture with strong morale, pride and commitment across the department
