HGV CLASS 1 NON-HAZARDOUS VACUUM TANKER DRIVER
Various Shift Patterns Available | Full-Time | Permanent
We are looking for reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Vacuum Tanker Drivers to join our growing industrial services and waste transport operation.
The role involves operating non-hazardous vacuum tankers, carrying out collections and deliveries for customers across a range of commercial and industrial sites.
Vacuum tanker experience is preferred, but training can be provided to the right Class 1 driver.
SHIFT OPTIONS
We understand that different working patterns suit different drivers, so we have a number of options available:
- 4 On / 4 Off
- 5 Days Per Week – to include a minimum of one weekend shift
- Nights Out – for drivers wanting longer-distance/tramping work
- No Nights Out – for drivers wanting to return home after their shift
- Day and night work may be available depending on the shift pattern
- Additional shifts/overtime may be available
We are happy to discuss the shift pattern that works best for both the driver and the business.
THE ROLE
Your duties will include:
- Driving and operating Class 1 non-hazardous vacuum tankers
- Collection and transportation of non-hazardous liquid waste
- Safe operation of vacuum tanker equipment
- Connecting and disconnecting tanker hoses
- Completing all required paperwork and electronic job records
- Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Maintaining a high standard of vehicle cleanliness
- Following site-specific safety procedures and RAMS
- Complying with Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations
- Providing a professional service to customers
- Reporting defects, incidents or operational issues promptly
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Applicants should ideally have:
- HGV Class 1 / Category C+E Licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time rules
- Good standard of vehicle care
- Professional attitude when dealing with customers
- Ability to work safely and independently
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Vacuum tanker or waste industry experience would be an advantage
No ADR is required as this position is for non-hazardous work.
Previous experience with vacuum tankers, liquid waste, industrial services, drainage or similar work would be beneficial, although suitable drivers can be trained.
