Lee Marley Group are looking for a Foundation Apprentice – Onsite Trades to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gain valuable hands-on experience on live construction sites, and work towards completing a recognised Foundation Apprenticeship.
You’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople and site supervisors, gaining practical experience across a range of construction activities including brickwork, carpentry, plastering and scaffolding.
You’ll also attend structured training at the academy, giving you the opportunity to develop both your practical skills and your knowledge of the construction industry.

Working Hours
- 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
- Includes scheduled academy and off-the-job training
- Academy training will be delivered in one-week training blocks
- Occasional flexibility may be required depending on site requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist qualified tradespeople with brickwork, carpentry, plastering and scaffolding activities
- Prepare and maintain safe, clean and organised work areas
- Assist with setting up equipment and materials for site activities
- Receive, unload, sort and safely move construction materials around site
- Use and maintain hand tools, power tools and equipment under appropriate supervision
- Assist with basic scaffolding and access equipment where trained and instructed to do so
- Keep work areas clean and free from hazards
- Follow all site Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements
- Wear and maintain all required PPE
- Report hazards, unsafe working practices or concerns to the Site Manager
- Attend all scheduled academy training and complete required coursework and portfolio evidence
- Take part in regular reviews with tutors, assessors and site mentors
- Work positively and professionally as part of a wider site team
Essential Skills & Attributes
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Willing to learn and keen to develop practical skills
- Reliable, punctual and committed to completing the apprenticeship
- Able to listen carefully and follow instructions
- A good team player with clear communication skills
- Safety-conscious and willing to follow site procedures
- Physically capable of carrying out manual work
- Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
- Proactive and willing to have a go at learning new tasks
- Professional and respectful towards colleagues, supervisors and other site teams
Desired (Not Essential)
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
- Previous construction or practical work experience
- Basic understanding of workplace Health & Safety
- Any relevant construction or site experience
