Overview
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting with product knowledge, and ensuring the smooth operation of the store. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a passion for gardening and horticulture. Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable to serve our diverse customer base effectively. Duties
- Greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their shopping needs
- Providing expert advice on vaping products and stop smoking initiatives
- Organising merchandise displays to maximise visual appeal and sales potential
- Maintaining stock levels through effective merchandising and inventory management
- Answering customer queries both in person and via telephone or email
- Processing transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Supporting store organisation by keeping the sales floor tidy and well-stocked
- Promoting specialised gardening products and seasonal items to maximise sales opportunities
- Assisting with organising workshops or demonstrations related to gardening and horticulture when required
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of vaping industry, products and related fields is advantageous and welcomed
- Strong organisational skills to manage stock and merchandising efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with customers and team members
- An enthusiastic attitude towards customer service and a willingness to learn about new products and techniques
