Job Purpose
PSA Training is seeking a motivated and experienced Assessor to deliver, assess, and support learners undertaking the NCFE Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship and the NCFE Level 2 and Level 3 Customer Service Apprenticeships.
The role ensures learners develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for successful achievement of their apprenticeship and progression within their organisation. It also involves ensuring timely achievement and maintaining high‑quality standards in line with awarding body and regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Apprenticeship Assessment — Plan, deliver, and record high‑quality assessments in line with awarding body and EPAO requirements.
- Coaching & Mentoring — Provide structured coaching sessions to develop learner competence, confidence, and professional behaviours.
- Portfolio Development — Guide learners in producing strong evidence portfolios that meet the requirements of Business Administration and Customer Service standards.
- Progress Reviews — Conduct regular progress reviews with learners and employers, ensuring clear action plans and timely achievement.
- Quality & Compliance — Maintain accurate records, adhere to internal quality assurance processes, and meet ESFA and Ofsted requirements.
- Employer Engagement — Build strong relationships with employers to ensure workplace tasks align with apprenticeship standards.
- EPA Preparation — Prepare learners for End‑Point Assessment, including mock assessments, professional discussions, and knowledge checks.
- Safeguarding & Welfare — Promote safeguarding, Prevent, and learner wellbeing throughout the learning journey.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Assessing Experience — Proven experience assessing Business Administration and Customer Service qualifications or apprenticeship standards.
- TAQA/IQA Qualification — Hold CAVA/TAQA or equivalent; IQA qualification desirable.
- Strong understanding of ESFA funding rules, apprenticeship compliance, and EPA requirements.
- Ability to deliver engaging coaching sessions and adapt support to individual learner needs.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage caseloads effectively.
- Confident communication skills with learners, employers, and internal teams.
- Competent digital skills, including e‑portfolio systems and remote delivery platforms.

- Sector knowledge relevant to Business Administration or Customer Service environments.
