The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces, ensuring they are healthy, attractive, and well-kept. Responsibilities
- Planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising plants to promote healthy growth
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Maintaining lawns, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other landscape features
- Assisting with landscape design projects and seasonal planting schemes
- Conducting regular inspections to identify pests or diseases and applying appropriate treatments
- Clearing debris, weeds, and overgrowth to keep outdoor spaces tidy and presentable
- Supporting the installation of new garden features or structures as required
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order and stored securely after use
Requirements
- Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems
- Knowledge of plant care, growing techniques, and pest management
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks such as digging, lifting, and manoeuvring equipment
- A genuine interest in gardening and landscape aesthetics
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture or related fields are advantageous
