Due to high levels of demand, we are looking for a temporary Warehouse/ Forklift Operative to join us on a 6-month contract at our Head Office in Hebburn!
Responsibilities:
- Check and receive deliveries.
- Unload deliveries of parts from dismantled machines, ex production stock, aged stock and all other supplier deliveries.
- Book in stock using an in-house computer system.
- Replenish stock.
- Pick, pack and dispatch goods in a timely manner.
- Ordering of packing materials.
- Transfer larger parts (cabs, booms, arms etc.) to wash bay using Forklift truck.
- Assist with stock taking and organisation of stock.
- General warehouse and yard duties – keeping all parts in order and tidy at all times.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Essential
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role carrying out Warehousing duties.
- Excellent time management skills, be a forward thinker with the capability to plan ahead.
- Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues.
- Good communication and IT skills, being proficient with applications such as MS Office/ Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Forklift Licence and/ or experience.
- Experience of working in the manufacturing or construction sector.
