At Palace House, you'll play a vital role in enhancing our residents' daily lives by preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals in a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment.

Pay:
£12.50 per hour (Self-Employed)
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious, home-style meals for our residents.
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and cooking ingredients.
- Prepare salads, desserts, and other meal components to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen in line with food safety regulations.
- Wash and store kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment correctly.
- Receive, sort, store, and rotate food supplies appropriately.
- Clean kitchen equipment, preparation areas, work surfaces, and floors.
- Dispose of waste safely and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
- Organise kitchen linen and laundry as required.
- Follow HACCP guidelines, food hygiene regulations, and infection prevention procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure residents receive high-quality meals every day.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Cook or within a kitchen environment is preferred.
- Good home cooking skills and confidence preparing nutritious meals.
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
- A positive attitude with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while also being a supportive team player.
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality.
