Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and loving care to children, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, preparing for schools and nap schedules
- Support educational development through teaching basic skills in English and French, fostering bilingual growth when applicable
- Drive children to appointments, school, extracurricular activities, or outings as needed
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding children’s progress, needs, and any concerns
- Create a structured yet flexible environment that encourages independence and positive behavior
Skills
- Proven experience in nannying or childcare roles within private households
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record for safe transportation of children
- Ability to teach foundational skills in English and French to support bilingual development
- Excellent child safety awareness and first aid knowledge
- Compassionate, patient, energetic, and proactive attitude towards childcare responsibilities
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with parents and engage children positively
- Flexibility to adapt to household routines and specific family preferences
