Location: Speke, Liverpool
Contract: Permanent – Full Time 35 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 2:00pm
Rate of Pay: £14.42 per hour
About the role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to join our catering team at Elanco AH in Speke.
You’ll play an important part in delivering a high-quality food service, helping with food preparation, serving customers and ensuring the kitchen and service areas are kept clean, safe and well organised.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team and providing excellent customer service in a busy catering environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and presentation of food for the restaurant, hospitality and special functions.

Serve meals and beverages to customers during service.

Provide a friendly, professional and efficient service.

Operate tills accurately and handle customer transactions securely.

Keep kitchen, counter, storage and service areas clean and tidy.

Operate the dishwasher and support the smooth flow of clean crockery and equipment.

Help maintain vending machines, including cleanliness and stock levels.

Complete required food temperature and wastage records.

Follow all food hygiene, Health & Safety, COSHH and site procedures.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be someone who takes pride in delivering a great service and works well with both customers and colleagues.
Ideally, you will have:

Excellent customer service skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience working in a busy catering or food service environment.

Experience of cash handling and operating tills.

The ability to work independently when required.

A positive approach to teamwork.

A good understanding of the importance of food hygiene, cleanliness and Health & Safety.
