Job Overview
We are seeking a caring and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality oral hygiene services, assisting with patient education and supporting the overall dental care process. We have a stable patient base and you will be taking over from our current hygienist who is relocating.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleaning procedures, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar build-up
- Assist in the assessment of patients’ oral health status through visual examination and use of dental imaging tools
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventative care measures
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments performed and observations made during appointments
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Ensure all equipment is sterilised and maintained according to health and safety standards
- Support with the interpretation of medical imaging to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures
Qualifications
- recognised qualification in Dental Hygiene or equivalent recognised by relevant professional bodies
- Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist is desirable but not essential for recent graduates willing to learn on the job
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques utilised within dentistry
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively
- Organised with meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate records and uphold hygiene standards

Pay: £30.00-£34.00 per hour
