Job Summary
We are seeking a confident, motivated and results-driven Telephone Sales Representative to join our team.
This is an office-based telephone sales role where you will be speaking with customers, generating business and booking jobs for our team.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable on the phone, enjoys speaking to customers and is motivated by hitting targets and earning commission.
You'll receive a guaranteed basic salary of £26,000 per year, plus commission for every qualifying completed job you generate.
Salary & Commission
- £26,000 guaranteed basic salary
- £10 commission per qualifying completed job
- Target of approximately 40 completed jobs per month
- £400 commission per month when achieving target
- £4,800 commission per year when achieving target
- OTE of approximately £30,800 per year
- Uncapped earning potential for strong performers who exceed target
Your basic salary is guaranteed — commission is earned on top.
Key Responsibilities
- Making and receiving sales calls from the office
- Speaking confidently and professionally with prospective customers
- Understanding customers' requirements and recommending the appropriate service
- Converting enquiries and opportunities into booked jobs
- Following up leads and previous enquiries
- Maintaining accurate customer and booking information
- Working towards a target of approximately 40 completed jobs per month
- Following up opportunities to maximise conversions
- Delivering a high standard of customer service throughout the sales process
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure jobs progress smoothly
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Confident and comfortable speaking to customers over the telephone
- Naturally persuasive with a strong sales mentality
- Target-driven and motivated by commission
- Friendly, professional and reliable
- Organised and able to manage multiple leads and follow-ups
- Comfortable using computers and customer management systems
- Able to work independently while also being part of a team
- Persistent and positive when dealing with objections
Previous telephone sales, telesales, call centre, customer service or business development experience would be beneficial, although we are primarily looking for the right attitude, communication skills and work ethic.
