TransitDirect is a removal, transport and storage company based in Macclesfield, Cheshire with over 15 years’ experience in transport and removals.
We are looking to recruit a reliable 3.5T driver / porter on a self-employed basis.
Responsibilities
- Safely packing and handling household items for removal and storage
- Loading and unloading goods with care
- Working part of a team to complete removals
Requirements
- Experience within removals is preferred but not essential as training will be provided for the right person
- Some experience in flatpack furniture an advantage as we occasionally dismantle and rebuild customers furniture i.e beds and wardrobes.
- Full driving licence essential
- Physically fit and able to handle manual work – heavy lifting involved
- Good communication skills – English is a must
- Punctual, reliable and a good team player
Job Type – Part time
- Hours come in peaks and troughs, one week could be 16 hours and the next 60 hours , we continue to grow, as we do, the hours will.
Pay
- Minimum Wage (general staff)
- £16.00 per hour (drivers with experience driving vans loaded with customers goods). Will rise for the right person after a probation period.
This is a self-employed position. Payment is made weekly upon receipt of an invoice.
We're looking for someone who wants to grow with the business as we continue to expand.
