Registered Veterinary Nurse – Full or Part Time
Bluebell Vets | Bursledon, Hampshire | SO31 8DQ
We are a growing, independent small animal practice looking for an RVN who shares our values: compassionate patient care, strong client relationships, teamwork, and community spirit.
Although we are still a relatively new practice, we are already well established and proud to offer a different kind of veterinary environment - one where pets, clients, and team wellbeing genuinely come first.
We believe veterinary nursing should be valued as an essential part of the clinical team, with the time, support and equipment needed to do the job properly.
Our practice is designed around providing excellent patient care rather than simply getting through as many consultations as possible. We have dedicated time within the working day for clinical work, nursing duties and administration, allowing the team to properly care for patients and communicate with clients.
We see a large number of second-opinion and complex medical cases, and we strongly believe veterinary medicine is a team sport. Cases are discussed daily within the team, meaning our nurses are actively involved in patient management and have the opportunity to develop their clinical knowledge and skills.
We perform the majority of our soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics in-house, with regular visits from cardiology and imaging specialists and internal medicine input when required.
We have certificate holders in soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics and ophthalmology within the team, creating a fantastic environment for an RVN who enjoys learning and wants to continue developing clinically.
We also invest heavily in equipment and continually upgrade our facilities, ensuring the team has the tools needed to provide the highest standard of patient care.
Most importantly, our clients genuinely see and appreciate the care and effort the team puts in every day - usually accompanied by an endless supply of biscuits and chocolate!
We are incredibly proud of the relationships we have built with our clients and the local community, and we would encourage anyone considering applying to have a look through our Google reviews to get a feel for the kind of environment and culture we have created.

We are looking for an RVN who enjoys being involved in all aspects of clinical nursing and wants to work somewhere that genuinely values the nursing team.
The role will include a mixture of:
- Theatre and anaesthesia
- Inpatient and hospitalised patient care
- Nurse consultations
- Schedule 3 procedures where appropriate

We are particularly interested in hearing from nurses who enjoy taking ownership of cases, developing their clinical skills and being actively involved in patient care, rather than simply working through a checklist of routine tasks.
