The role
Working from our Dartford branch, the duties of the driver/warehouse operative will be varied:
- Help planning cost effective routes
- Complete daily delivery report forms
- Off-loading delivery vehicles safely
- Checking off deliveries accurately
- Ensuring stock is allocated and stored correctly
- Picking orders for collection and delivery
- Following daily procedures, paperwork trails and imputing of data on computer system
- Ensuring warehouse is safe, clean and tidy
- Gaining and keeping up to date with product knowledge
- Answering the phone, taking messages
- Progressing through the company if the candidate shows initiative and commitment
Maximum emphasis on customer satisfaction, professionalism, good communication skills and accuracy of paperwork.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and knowledge within the electrical wholesale industry.
Hours are 7am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday with 1 Saturday in 3 (8am – 1pm Saturday only)
20 days annual leave, increases by 1 each year worked with company up to max of 25 days plus bank holidays
