About the Role
Eldergreen CRS LTD is looking for compassionate, resilient Support Workers to join our team across our Children's Homes in Leicester. You'll be supporting children and young people who are typically diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Learning Difficulties, and who may present with challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct, person-centred support to children and young people with ASD, ADHD, Learning Difficulties and challenging behaviour, following individual care and behaviour support plans.
- Support young people with daily routines, including personal care, mealtimes, education, and recreational activities.
- Use de-escalation techniques to manage and respond to challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent, and safe manner.
- Build trusting, positive relationships that promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and independence.
- Maintain accurate daily records, incident reports, and communication logs in line with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the wider team, management, and external professionals (social workers, therapists, education providers) to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times, following Eldergreen CRS LTD's policies and procedures.
Shift Pattern & Contract
- 12-hour shifts: 8:00am–8:00pm (days) and 8:00pm–8:00am (nights).
- This is a zero hours contract, giving flexibility around your availability.
- While hours are not guaranteed, we typically aim to offer a minimum of 24 hours per week.
About You
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with ASD, ADHD, Learning Difficulties and complex/challenging behaviour.
- Patience, resilience, and a calm, consistent approach, even in challenging situations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts, including weekends where required.
- A full, valid UK driving licence is required.
- An Enhanced DBS check is required (or willingness to apply for one prior to starting, subject to policy).
- Previous experience in a children's residential setting supporting young people with ASD, ADHD, Learning Difficulties and/or challenging behaviour is required.
