Buchanan's Coaches have been providing high quality passenger transport to the residents of Hereford and surrounding areas since 1984. Due to new contracts, we have a vacancy for a new driver to join our small team in starting late August - early September.
The Job
We are looking for a part time driver to cover school runs morning and afternoon, Monday to Friday during term times. We like to think we provide a pleasant and supportive environment to work in and are committed to the ongoing professional development of our staff.
Your Responsibilities
- Checking and recording safety checks against company vehicles
- Driving our customers safely where they need to go
- Strict adherence to EU tachograph rules and the working time directive
- Vehicle presentation; cleaning inside and washing outside company vehicles daily.
- Ability to plan your routes safely and efficiently
Required
- Category D PSV license (Automatic holders welcome to apply)
- Current Drivers CPC entitlement with valid DQC card
- Valid digital tachograph card (or the willingness to obtain one prior to a job offer)
- Current Herefordshire DBS certificate (or the willingness to obtain one prior to a job offer)
- Great communication skills and an approachable manor
- Comfortable with technology (smartphones, apps and emails)
- At Least one year of Coach or Bus driving experience
- Adaptable to change
