Contract: Flexible temporary roles (day-to-day, short-term and long-term)
Salary: £32,916-£45,351 per annum, pro rata (depending on experience and/or qualifications)
About the role
Inspiring Business Studies teaching builds confidence, sharpens thinking, and helps students understand the real world of enterprise and decision-making. If you’re a skilled teacher who enjoys those moments when concepts click and ideas come to life, we’d love to hear from you.
At Heart of Supply, you choose the days you work and the schools that match your approach. Focus on delivering engaging, purposeful lessons while we provide clear, consistent support.
We’re looking for Business Studies teachers who can step into the classroom and establish a strong, positive learning environment from the outset. You’ll break down complex ideas, encourage discussion, manage behaviour effectively, and guide students through structured, meaningful learning.
Confident teaching Key Stage 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), adapting content to suit a range of abilities, and bringing strong subject knowledge and professionalism will make a real difference.
About the schools
At Heart of Supply we work in partnership with a wide network of welcoming, well-supported schools across Lincoln and the surrounding areas, including primary and secondary schools, academies, local authority provisions, and specialist SEND settings. Whether you’re passionate about early years, KS2, secondary education up to Year 13, or supporting pupils with additional needs, we’ll match you with schools that align with your skills and values. As a Heart of Supply educator, you’ll be part of a growing team that’s making a real difference in the classroom, gaining valuable experience across diverse environments.
What you will need:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with recent UK secondary Business Studies classroom experience
- Strong Business Studies subject knowledge and the ability to teach across Key Stage 4 (KS5 is desirable)
- Confident, consistent behaviour management in secondary settings
- Ability to build quick rapport with students and colleagues in a new classroom
- A proactive, adaptable approach with a genuine passion for teaching Business Studies
- At least 6 weeks’ UK teaching experience in secondary schools
We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children’s barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.
What we offer you:
- Competitive weekly PAYE pay
- Roles tailored to your lifestyle - day-to-day or longer term
- Access to exclusive opportunities in great local schools
- A friendly, experienced consultant who listens
- Free CPD and ongoing professional development
- A simple ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme
- Welcome Bonus (terms and conditions apply)
- A warm, supportive agency that genuinely cares about you and your journey
