Purpose
To lead Warwick Engineering’s site installation delivery and quality standards across steelwork and architectural installation projects, ensuring works are planned, executed safely, installed right-first-time, and closed out with a professional handover. This role strengthens delivery discipline, client confidence, and reputation, supporting Warwick’s growth plan.
. Key Accountabilities
Site Delivery Leadership
- Plan and manage installation works on site: resources, sequencing, access, logistics, and interfaces.
- Lead daily and weekly site coordination with the Principal Contractor / Client team.
- Maintain short-term look-ahead plans and progress reporting (records, photos, and actions).
Quality Management (Post-Fabrication to Install to Handover)
- Own Warwick’s installation quality standard: ITPs, checklists, hold points, and sign-offs.
- Coordinate post-fabrication readiness checks: fit-up, finish protection, pack/label, and install readiness.
- Manage NCRs and snagging: root cause, corrective actions, and evidence-based close-out.
- Drive right-first-time delivery to reduce rework, defects, and revisits.
Safety Leadership (CDM / Site Compliance)
- Lead safe systems of work on site: inductions, toolbox talks, permits, and compliance with site rules.
- Prepare/review and brief RAMS, ensuring they are practical and followed.
- Coordinate lifting operation requirements: lift plans, exclusion zones, crane/plant interfaces, rigging controls.
- Ensure compliance with Working at Height, LOLER, PUWER, and relevant site/client standards.
Installation Planning and Technical Interface
- Attend pre-start meetings, site surveys, and constructability reviews.
- Raise and manage RFIs and design clarifications with the Design Manager and client teams.
- Support setting-out verification and dimensional control (where applicable).
Handover and Close-Out Discipline
- Manage snagging to completion and secure sign-off for all works.
- Produce consistent handover packs: check sheets, photos, certifications, and as-built inputs.
- Maintain accurate site records to support final account evidence: changes, access issues, delays, and additional works.
Contract and Project Controls Exposure (Development Pathway)
- Support understanding of key contract requirements: milestones, reporting, quality deliverables, and change process.
- Provide structured evidence for variations/VOs: records, photos, labour logs, and delay logs.
- Develop capability in programming basics, client reporting discipline, and delivery governance.
Typical Qualifications / Tickets
- SMSTS (or SSSTS with plan to upgrade).
- CSCS Supervisor/Manager card relevant to role.
- First Aid at Work (or Emergency First Aid).
- Desirable: Appointed Person / lift planning (or strong experience coordinating lift plans), IPAF/PASMA as required.
