We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Staff Member to join our dynamic kitchen team at Pad Thai Live Chatham!
The successful candidate will play a vital part in meal preparation, food safety, and delivering exceptional service within a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a kitchen setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to develop your culinary skills. This position is paid and suitable for those eager to grow their career in the hospitality industry.
We are based inside the Chatham Dockside Outlet and you can find us upstairs at the address- 59, Dockside Outlet Centre, St Mary's Island, Chatham ME4 3ED, you would need to reliably commute to and from the centre.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food presentation to high standards.
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Ensure all ingredients and supplies are stocked and prepared for service.
- Help with serving food to customers or guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support catering events by preparing food items and assisting with setup as required.
- Contribute to team efforts to deliver excellent customer service and efficient kitchen operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or food service environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards is desirable.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food handling procedures will be beneficial.
- A keen interest in culinary arts, serving, and maintaining high standards of hygiene is essential.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are important qualities for success in this role.
