DEPUTY DOMICILIARY CARE MANAGER
Join A CQC Rated ‘Outstanding’ Home Care Team
About you
Perhaps you are currently a Team Leader or Senior Carer and looking for the next step in your career? Maybe you are already a Deputy Manager or Care Supervisor but feel a change is needed to rekindle your passion.
You’ll be confident working both independently and as part of a team and comfortable balancing office tasks with time out in the field. Most importantly, you’ll be passionate about maintaining high standards and delivering great care to our elderly, private clients.
About us
We’re part of a wider network of 83 branches, all focused on delivering high-quality care, not just high volume. Right at Home High Wycombe is proud to be one of only three home care providers in Buckinghamshire rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC. However, we are in no way 'stupid enough' to believe we can't do things better, and that is what we want you to help with.
The Role
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who wants to contribute to team goals and enjoys being busy.
You’ll work closely with our Registered Manager, Care Coordinator and Director, supporting our existing clients while also welcoming new ones into the service. From building strong relationships to carrying out detailed care assessments, you’ll play a key part in ensuring every client receives the highest standard of care.
The majority of your time will be in the office, however visiting clients to review their care plans and meeting potential new clients in their homes, hospitals, or care homes is also an essential part of the role as will Caregiver spot checks and signoffs.
What you will be doing
We work in a fast-moving environment where things can change quickly, so being adaptable is key. You’ll need to be organised, proactive, and happy to get stuck in wherever needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out field-based care assessments
- Creating and updating person-centred care plans
- Managing new care enquiries (both incoming and outgoing)
- Overseeing client contracts and deposit processes
- Conducting regular client reviews
- Handle incoming calls from clients and carers
- Auditing staff and client files and supporting office compliance
- Shadowing, assessing and signing off new caregivers
- Supporting caregivers to follow best practice, policies, and procedures
- Taking part in team meetings and contributing to continuous improvement
What we are looking for
Ideally, you’ll have:
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)
- At least 18 months’ experience in a hands-on care role
- Level 3 QCF/NVQ in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Outlook, CRM systems)
- Excellent communication skills across all formats
- Confidence handling client calls with professionalism and empathy
- Good organisation skills and attention to detail
Interested?
If much of what is written here sounds appealing and intriguing, apply now and we’ll be in touch very soon for an informal chat and see where that leads. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time.
