Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior (Level 3) Nursery Practitioner to join our committed team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and providing a nurturing environment for children. This role involves assisting with the daily running of the nursery room and ensuring the highest standards of care and education are provided to all children in our setting. Duties
- Oversee the daily activities and routines within the nursery, ensuring that all children receive appropriate care and education.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that meet the individual needs of each child.
- Work closely with the nursery team, providing guidance, support, and sharing good practice within the nursery environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.
- Drive initiatives that promote the nursery's values and objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in an early years setting.
- Good understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in English.
- Ability to drive initiatives that enhance childcare quality within the nursery.
- Demonstrated a proactive approach to ensuring quality care and education.
- A genuine passion for nurturing children's development through play-based learning.
