Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to provide academic support and guidance to students. Expected hours are 16hrs pw face to face tutoring (flexible hours). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with experience working with children, including those with special educational needs. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment. Hourly rate is £28-£30ph (dependent on experience).
Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored tutoring sessions to meet the individual needs of students.
- Assess students' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Provide support in various subjects, ensuring comprehension and retention of material.
- Create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to boost students' confidence.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children.
- Knowledge of special education practices is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build rapport with students and create an engaging learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are preferred but not essential.

Pay: £28.00-£30.00 per hour
