We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible Temporary Seasonal General Assistants to join our team for the busy seasonal period, with contracts running until 24th December.
This is a hands-on and varied role where no two days are the same. You will provide support across the garden centre wherever it is needed most, helping different departments deliver an excellent experience for our customers.
Your duties may include supporting our busy Christmas Department, assisting customers and maintaining displays, working on tills, replenishing stock, helping with deliveries, and supporting other departments across the garden centre as required.
Customer service is at the heart of this role. You should be confident approaching and speaking with customers, willing to learn about our products, and able to provide a friendly and helpful service at all times.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, helpful, and professional service to customers
- Support departments across the garden centre wherever assistance is required
- Assist within the Christmas Department, helping to maintain high standards and attractive displays
- Operate the EPOS and till systems
- Assist with stock replenishment and ensure products are presented to a high standard
- Support visual merchandising and the creation and maintenance of eye-catching displays
- Assist with deliveries, stock movement and general shop floor duties
- Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming, and attractive environment for customers
- Assist with seasonal events, promotions, and POS material
- Learn and develop product knowledge in order to confidently assist customers
- Work independently when required and as part of a wider team
- Adapt to changing priorities and support the business wherever needed
- Heavy lifting and manual handling will be required as part of the role

Please note: These are temporary seasonal positions running until 24th December. The contract is 6-24 hours and there may be opportunities for overtime during this period. We are looking for people who are available immediately!
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 6.0 – 24.0 per week
