Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to work in a School/College to provide essential assistance and guidance to children and young Adults. Responsibilities
- Support children and young Adults within a School/College in their daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with educational and recreational activities, encouraging participation and engagement
- Mentor individuals to develop social skills, independence, and confidence
- Provide personalised support tailored to each individual's needs and goals
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to create effective support plans
- Encourage behavioural development through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate records of activities, progress, and any concerns that arise during support sessions
- Promote a respectful and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young Adults is highly desirable
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Teaching experience or background in education is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate, patient, organised, and able to adapt to different situations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications or training in childcare or social care are beneficial
