We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team within a reputable care home. Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications
Required:
· NVQ Level 3 and/or similar qualification
· Experience in the care of the elderly and mentally infirm and sensitive to the needs of others
· Self-motivated and organized
· An active team player and able to work on own initiative under supervision or to lead others
· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and give accurate information when required
· Satisfactory DBS check which is up to date.

· Willingness to undergo further extensive training to improve knowledge and care standards within the home.
Requirements
· Supervise and support junior care staff, ensuring the delivery of compassionate and professional care at all times
· Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management in accordance with individual care plans
· Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members
· Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to the relevant medical team promptly
· Foster a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence for all residents
· Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems and paper records as required
· Organise activities that enhance residents’ quality of life whilst adhering to safety guidelines
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home setting
· Support with administrative duties related to resident care and staff supervision
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
· Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
What does the role involve?

About The Home:
Joseph Lodge is a care home for the elderly providing personal care to people with age related issues including dementia. The home is set in a beautiful rural location a short distance from the outskirts of Southend. The home has good transport links and is a short taxi ride from Shoeburyness train station and there is a bus route with a bus stop outside the home.
The home has 39 bedrooms across the ground and 1st floor. It has some larger rooms on site including two that would be suitable for couples. There is a lift to the first floor. Each bedroom has an ensuite facility. The home has a large lounge dinner on the ground floor which is adjacent to the home's kitchen. In addition to the main lounge there are two other small lounge areas, to enable residents to see visitors in private as well as providing alternative locations for resident to relax and take part in the activities of the home
