Contract Type: Bank – flexible hours, as and when required

As a Bank Kitchen Assistant, you will work alongside the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to support the preparation and delivery of fresh, wholesome meals for residents, staff, and visitors.
This is a flexible role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a care environment and can provide cover as required.
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is desirable

As a Kitchen Assistant at Thimbleby Court, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Head Chef with food preparation and service

Assisting with the preparation of healthy, balanced, and nutritious meals using a home-cooked approach

Ensuring food is prepared, cooked, and stored in a hygienic environment at all times

Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation

Supporting systems to control food portions and minimise waste

Ensuring all kitchen practices adhere to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures

Maintaining a strong working knowledge of food safety, COSHH, HACCP, and allergen management
-
Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas to a high standard

Supporting a positive dining experience that reflects Glenholme Senior Living's values and standards of care
