Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will support food preparation, ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained, and assist with various kitchen duties. Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly in accordance with recipes and safety standards
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and basic dishes under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Ensure proper storage of food items following food safety regulations
- Help with serving food to customers or guests as required
- Restock supplies and organise ingredients for efficient kitchen operation
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
- Support the team during busy periods by performing additional duties as needed
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or a similar environment is desirable
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen setting
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Basic understanding of food presentation and serving etiquette
- Enthusiasm for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills
