Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial van to deliver packages and goods across designated routes.
- Manage multiple deliveries in a timely manner, ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery details and address any issues promptly.
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with road regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, including heavy lifting when necessary, while following proper safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and paperwork for each stop.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to promote safe driving practices at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably with multi-drop routes.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong commercial driving skills with knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Warehouse experience is a plus, especially familiarity with loading/unloading cargo and heavy lifting techniques.
- Ability to stay organized, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple deliveries per day.
- Physical stamina for prolonged periods of driving and manual handling tasks.
