An exciting new opening has arisen for a Test Technician within our skilled and innovative engineering team. This is a position with ‘on the job’ training provided, in differing aspects of engineering, equipment operation and supporting our customers.
The role would suit someone with a keen interest in Engineering who would like to pursue a career in this field. Satellite Communication Experience is not necessary; above all we are looking for applicants with a genuine interest and aptitude in technology, with a willingness to take on this Test Technician role with an enthusiastic, positive attitude. The position will involve various aspects of engineering: mechanical, electronic and software, therefore giving a very solid basis for a long term trade and career. Role & Responsibilities:
- Following test routines
- Following calibration routines
- QA of equipment
- Recording/Verifying results
- Diagnostic procedures

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- A good standard of education (Maths, Engineering and IT particularly useful)
- Basic knowledge of test equipment
- Computer literate in Word/ Excel
- Good eye for quality and consistency
- Positive hands on attitude with a willingness to progress in role
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Education in an engineering discipline
- Understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) addressing schemes for basic computer and router connectivity (on the job training can be provided)
- Knowledge of basic hand and measurement tools
- Customer support experience
